The Flag Store Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Canadian Flag
Description: February 15, 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the national flag. This special day is an opportunity to celebrate the people, accomplishments, history, institutions and values that have helped shape our national identity.
Our flag was officially adopted 50 years ago and raised for the first time on Parliament Hill, across Canada and at Canadian missions around the world.
Since 1965, the red and white maple leaf has been the most significant symbols of our identity and a source of inspiration and pride for us all.
Snapd joined The Original Flag Store in Thornton to celebrate the 50th Anniversary with Tea and Cake. With a great assortment of flags for all occasions the real highlight is the company. Cecilia Burke, sister Valarie and mother Beth welcome visitors into the store with the warmest welcome.
